Havant Conservatives welcome the Chancellors Budget

 

At todays budget the Chancellor highlighted some of our past achievements in government including cutting the deficit by two thirds, creating 1000 jobs every single day day, cutting income tax, growing our economy and increasing spending on our public services to name but a few. 

Mak wins MP of the year award

 

Last night our MP Alan Mak was awarded the prestigious New Conservative MP of the Year award in Speakers House at Palace of Westminster. 

The event was organised by the Patchwork foundation and the awards were presented by the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow MP. 

New Plaque dedicated to the Late Councillor Colin Mackey

Mayor of Havant Cllr Elaine Shimbart led tributes at the unveiling of a new plaque dedicated to much loved and respected Cllr Colin Mackey. The plaque is located on the Emsworth wall opposite Emsworth train station. 

New Apprenticeships in Havant

Since May 2010 we have been committed to delivering over 3 million new apprenticeships.

This Government wants to enable everyone to go as far as their talents will take them, and are committed to helping young people get into work and support themselves. 

More people in work in Havant

More good news was announced today by the Government: Figures released today by the ONS show that more people are in work than ever before.

Under this Conservative Government, unemployment is at its lowest level since 1975.

Over 3 million more people are now in work since 2010. 

HCA Moves Offices

The Havant Conservative Association office has relocated to Denvilles House (Langstone Conservative Club).

The office phone number and opening hours will remain the same, with this new location we will be able to offer much better parking facilities for visitors.
